The name pays tribute to the history of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, a pioneer of rural electrification in Quebec as early as 1899. While the original power plant transmitted electricity through copper wires, our community now delivers “light” through fiber-optic technology, powering a new generation of smart homes in the heart of the Laurentians.
The Domaine is the passion project of its founder, Aaron Remer, a second-generation real estate developer with extensive experience delivering large-scale vertical developments. This low-density community reflects both his vision and his expertise. You might even find him driving a tractor, personally shaping the landscaped grounds to ensure every detail meets his exacting standards.
This thoroughfare is located in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, in the Laurentides region. Its name commemorates Joseph Yehudah Remer (Poland, 1914 – Montreal, 1986), husband of Irene Clara Weinstein (1934 – Montreal?, 2013). Having arrived in Canada in 1938, Joseph Yehudah Remer settled in Montreal and became a successful businessman active in various sectors, notably the textile industry, the diamond trade, and real estate investment. He also owned a summer residence in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, which he frequented from 1952 until his death.
We offer 68 spectacular wooded homesites, each spanning more than 50,000 square feet. To ensure exceptional privacy, we require side-yard setbacks that are twice the municipal minimum. For example, a standard 4-metre setback is increased to 8 metres throughout the Domaine.
Homes must be positioned to avoid direct sightlines into neighboring properties. Driveways are required to be curved or otherwise non-linear, preserving a natural wooded buffer from the street. Tree clearing is strictly limited, ensuring your home remains nestled in the heart of the forest.
Yes. Reservations are available for homesites that have not yet been delivered, with a deposit required. This allows you to secure your lot at the current price while you finalize your plans, protecting you from future price increases. Once the homesite is delivered, you may proceed with the purchase or choose a different lot, subject to availability.
We have established partnerships with two industry leaders to offer unparalleled flexibility. Both partners provide a path to excellence tailored to your preferred building approach:
Maisons Bonneville: Pre-Engineered Innovation
The Process: Choose a high-tech residence designed by an industry leader with more than 60 years of family expertise.
Customization: Each model can be tailored to your needs, including expanded living spaces, the addition of a garage, the selection of premium finishes, or the development of a customized basement.
Construction Fairmont: Custom and Semi-Custom Craftsmanship
The Options: Fairmont offers two distinct construction approaches — fully custom or semi-custom.
Semi-Custom (Talo Plans): Select a Talo plan for a streamlined path to a modern, high-end residence optimized for the Domaine.
Fully Custom: Work directly with Fairmont to design and build a one-of-a-kind residence created from the ground up according to your exact specifications.
To ensure quality and the seamless integration of our smart-home technologies, the majority of homeowners choose our official builders. However, if you have a specific vision that requires working with another contractor, a Builder Opt-Out process is available. This involves a formal agreement and coordination fees to ensure compliance with the Domaine’s strict architectural and technological standards.
To protect the long-term value of your investment, all homes must adhere to our design guidelines, which emphasize “warm contemporary” or “modern Scandinavian” styles, incorporating premium natural materials such as wood and stone in dark, earthy tones. A comprehensive document outlining the community and construction guidelines is available from our representatives.
The project includes private roads, electricity, and fiber-optic connectivity. To protect the environment and the groundwater supply, each homeowner is responsible for their own well (artesian or surface) and septic system.
Each residence includes a SMARTESS base package featuring a central hub, smart thermostats, switches, motion detectors, cameras, and essential security tools such as water leak detectors with automatic shut-off valves.
High-speed fiber-optic internet is pre-installed. The developer provides 3 months of complimentary high-speed internet and VOIP telephone service (required for gate audio access), ensuring you are connected from day one. Homeowners are responsible for installing internal Cat6 wiring and conduits in accordance with the technology guidelines. Additional services, such as professional monitoring, are also available.
Residents enjoy exclusive access to Lac Piché and Lac de la Lumière for swimming and non-motorized watercraft. You are also located at the heart of the Gillespie Trail, connected to a 45 km regional network for hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. We also offer our own private trail network, located near most homesites.
To preserve an atmosphere of pure relaxation, we have established rigorous community standards. Motorized boats are prohibited on our lakes, and mechanical equipment must operate quietly. To avoid disrupting your weekends, generator testing is restricted to specific weekday time periods. In addition, short-term rentals (Airbnb) of fewer than 180 days are prohibited in order to preserve the residential character of the community.
Yes. Common fees cover the operating costs of shared amenities and private roads. Since the Domaine maintains its own private infrastructure, the municipality is not responsible for providing these services, which often results in lower municipal taxes compared with properties located on public roads.
Management is currently handled by the developer and will be transferred to a homeowners’ association (HOA) once the majority of the project’s homesites have been sold.
Take Exit 89 from Highway 15 North. Follow Route 329 North, turn right onto Chemin Sainte-Lucie, then turn right again onto Chemin J.-Y.-Remer (the main entrance).
Yes! Visits are available by appointment, both on weekdays and weekends. We highly recommend an in-person visit to experience the views and the unique atmosphere of the site.
