Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The name honors the legacy of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, a trailblazer in rural electrification in Québec as early as 1899. Where the original plant once delivered energy through copper wires, our community now transmits “light” through fiber optics — energizing a new generation of smart homes in the heart of the Laurentians.

The Domaine is the passion project of its founder, Aaron Remer, a second-generation real estate developer with extensive experience in large-scale vertical developments. This low-density community is shaped by his vision and expertise; you might even see him on a tractor, personally shaping the green spaces to ensure they meet his exacting standards.

We offer 68 spectacular wooded lots, each exceeding 50,000 square feet. To ensure complete privacy, we require side setbacks that are double the municipal standards — for example, a typical 4-meter setback becomes 8 meters within the Domaine.

Homes are carefully positioned to prevent direct views into neighboring residences. Driveways must follow a curved or non-linear design to maintain a natural wooded buffer from the street, and clearing is strictly controlled so that each home remains truly immersed in the forest.

Yes. Reservations are available for lots that have not yet been delivered, subject to a deposit. This allows you to secure your lot at the current price while finalizing your plans, protecting you against future price increases. Once the lot is delivered, you may proceed with the purchase or change lots, subject to availability.

We have partnered with two industry leaders to offer unparalleled flexibility. Both partners provide a pathway to excellence based on your preferred construction approach:

Maisons Bonneville: Pre-Engineered Innovation

The Process: Choose a high-tech residence designed by an industry leader with over 60 years of family expertise.

Customization: Each model can be tailored to your needs — whether expanding living spaces, adding a garage, selecting premium finishes, or completing the basement.

Construction Fairmont: Custom and Semi-Custom Craftsmanship

The Options: Fairmont offers two distinct construction approaches — fully custom or semi-custom.

Semi-Custom (Talo Plans): Select a Talo plan for a streamlined path to a modern, high-end residence thoughtfully optimized for the Domaine.

Fully Custom: Collaborate directly with Fairmont to design and build a one-of-a-kind residence, created entirely from the ground up according to your exact specifications.

To maintain the highest standards of quality and ensure the seamless integration of our smart technologies, most homeowners select our designated builders. That said, if your vision calls for a different contractor, a Builder Opt-Out process is available. This requires a formal agreement and coordination fees to guarantee adherence to the Domaine’s rigorous architectural and technological standards.

To preserve the long-term value of your investment, all residences must comply with our architectural vision, centered on warm contemporary or modern Scandinavian design. Preferred materials include natural wood and stone in rich, earthy tones. A detailed document outlining construction and community guidelines is available upon request through our representatives.

The project features private roads, electrical service, and high-speed fiber optic connectivity. To preserve the natural environment and protect the groundwater table, each homeowner is responsible for installing and maintaining their own well (artesian or surface) and septic system.

Each home comes equipped with a foundational SMARTESS system, including a central hub, smart thermostats, intelligent switches, motion sensors, surveillance cameras, and essential safety features such as water leak detectors with automatic shut-off protection.

High-speed fiber optic connectivity is pre-installed throughout the community. The developer includes three complimentary months of high-speed internet and VOIP telephone service (required for the gate audio system), ensuring seamless connectivity from day one. Homeowners are responsible for installing internal Cat6 cabling and conduits in accordance with the technology standards. Additional services, including remote monitoring, are also available.

Residents benefit from exclusive access to Lac Piché and Lac de la Lumière for swimming and non-motorized water activities. The community is ideally situated along the Gillespie Trail, part of a 45 km regional network perfect for hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. We also feature a private trail network accessible from most lots.

To preserve an atmosphere of complete serenity, we have implemented strict community standards. Motorized watercraft are not permitted on our lakes, and mechanical equipment must operate discreetly. Generator testing is limited to designated weekday hours to ensure peaceful weekends. Furthermore, short-term rentals (less than 180 days) are not allowed, safeguarding the residential integrity of the Domaine.

Yes. Community fees contribute to the operation and maintenance of shared amenities and private roads. As the Domaine manages its own private infrastructure, the municipality does not provide these services — often resulting in lower municipal taxes than properties situated on public roads.

The community is presently managed by the developer. Governance will be transitioned to a homeowners’ association (HOA) once the majority of the lots within the project have been sold.

Take Exit 89 off Highway 15 North. Continue on Route 329 North, turn right onto Chemin Sainte-Lucie, then turn right again onto Chemin J.-Y.-Remer, which leads to the main entrance.

Yes. Private visits are available by appointment throughout the week and on weekends. We strongly encourage an on-site visit to truly appreciate the breathtaking views and the unique ambiance of the Domaine.
